An MDB reader reached out to me this morning about a dying man who needs urgent treatment but was abandoned by the nurses on the corridor. He narrates the ordeal:

I was at the hospital this morning with my grandmother who came for her check up when suddenly we saw police men drive in with a high speed and ran to the emergency department to get someone to attend to a dying man. At first no one knew what was happening as we thought the police came in to arrest some one but the story changed when they opened their car.

The nurses after an exchange of words with the police came out sluggishly and were forced to administer drip to this man.  The police also requested that  the hospital  take the man into their ward and attend to him properly but they refused and insist that the man stays inside the police vehicle until they know his details and probably call his people before any further treatment.

This attitude annoyed the police and they decided to drop the man lying on the ground with one of his legs broken and they left.

The police said that they needed to go back as they got report of another person injured in an accident near to the same spot but the hospital refused to cooperate. About 20mins after the police men left I heard the hospital nurses calling on some of their security men to take the man inside when the rain started falling, but up till now, he’s not yet been attended to except they decide to lie about it.

I hope someone intervenes before it’s too late thank you.
