Nigerian Patience Okon George has qualified for the semifinals of the 400 meters at the 2016 Olympics with a time of 51:83 seconds.

Her co athletes Omolara Omotosho  and Margareth Bamgbose did not make it to the semifinals.

George will in the semi finals be going head to head with Kemi Adekoya now representing Bahrain who did remarkably well in her 400m heats. She finished with the second fastest time of  50.72, after America’s Phylis Francis (50:58s) even faster than world champion America’s Allyson Felix.

We wish her all the best in the Semi finals on Monday. Go team Nigeria go!
