However, all rumora were laid to rest during a hearing this past Friday where Schumacher’s lawyer, Felix Damm, refuted the allegations, presenting in court papers one of the few concrete updates on the driver’s health.

Initially there was speculation that Mr Schumacher was paralysed, which is now backed up by Mr Damm’s claims saying these rumors are true. The lawyer also added that he could not walk even with the aid of therapists.
After an amazing career in the racing world spanning more than 20 years, the Formula One driver smashed his head on a rock during a skiing trip with his family in the French Alps in 2013

He and his teenage son, Mick, were skiing off-piste when the tragedy occurred.

He was airlifted to hospital and was placed in a medically induced coma for nearly six months due to the severity of his injury, which would have been fatal had he not been wearing a helmet.
