Meet Nigeria’s Youngest Local Government Chairman 25 Year Old Hindatu Umar(Photos)

25-year-old secondary school graduate, Hindatu Umar, is making headlines following her recent appointed as the Chairperson of Argungu Local Government Area in Kebbi State by the Kebbi State governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

She resumed work at the Local Government Secretariat on Thursday, after which she paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Argungu HRH Alhaji Samaila Muhammadu Mera at his palace in Argungu.

Her appointment has sparked criticisms, some are saying why would a woman be appointed to lead the Local Government. Others cited her age, educational qualification, and lack of experience.
