28 Suspected Secondary School Cultists Arrested By Delta Police

Delta Police Command has arrested 28 suspected teenage cultists operating in some public secondary schools in Asaba, in Delta, the state Police Commissioner, CP Zanna Ibrahim, revealed, weekend. 

He said that the teenage secret cult group was known as the Future Trigger Boys, adding that of the 28 suspects, 10 were students from Osadenis Grammar School, Asaba. 

The CP said the suspected cultists, aged between 13 and 16 years, were rounded up during school hours, following intelligence reports from members of the public. 

According to him, “these are children, who were sent to school to study but regrettably, they form cult group to terrorise their fellow students and the entire school. “They call themselves the Future Trigger Boys. We were able to arrest these ones, while many others are still on the run.“Since we arrested them, many of their parents have been on our neck.” 

The CP urged members of the public to continuously avail the command with valuable information that would help checkmate all forms of crimes in the society. 

One of the teenage suspected cultists, who is 13 years old and in JSS1, confessed his membership of the group. 

He said: “All of us are cultists. We are members of the Future Trigger Boys. I was introduced into the group in 2014 by my friend and our leader is one Ibrahim, who is currently at large.

 He, however, said that he had left the group and had not been participating in its activities anymore.
