Pastor Adeboye has come under heavy criticism from the Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to his recent fraternisation and endorsement of governor Ayodele Fayose.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, had on Christmas eve commended the governor’s effort in defending the people of the state and lauded him as courageous, this however did not go well with the state’s opposition party.

“We thank God for your courage, for your boldness, we thank God for your being willing to take risks so that your people can be protected.”

You have been a governor who knows when to say enough is enough in defence of his people. And I’m sure you know what I’m talking about and I am sure the world knows. I don’t want to say more than that but be assured that we are praying for you and you will succeed in Jesus name, ” Adeboye had said during a tour of the state

According to Premium Times,  in a statement released, on Sunday and signed by Jide Awe, the party expressed shock at the utterance of the clergyman, pointing out that Fayose is notorious for attacking and hurling insults at the Presidency. The letter also alleged Fayose might have bribed Pastor Adeboye to get such an endorsement out of him.

APC, noted that praise singing from the man of God especially for a character like Fayose is preposterous- especially at a time when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The state’s party chairman, Jide Awe, warned the man of God to desist from politics and associating with Fayose in order not to have an uprising against himself from the Ekiti people.

Pastor Adeboye has been facing major backlash for some of his utterances which have led to heated conversations on social media.

what do you think though? Should Pastor Adeboye have even said anything?

Should Samuel have anointed David the a king when Saul was still the king of Israel ?
You can’t question the spirit Sola, and a true man of God is always lead by the spirit.

So be careful anytime you pick a story about a man of God…
