A Sex Shop owner has been bombarded with death threats after creating an X-rated nativity scene.

Spanish shop owner Hector Valdivielso commissioned an artist to paint biblical figures onto sex toys at his store Non Sit Peccatum.

He faced criticism after putting up a window display of the dildos with pictures of the Holy family – the Baby Jesus, The Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph – painted on them.

Initially, the sex toys received much popularity, however, criticisms followed soon enough with people calling for them to get rid of the dildos.

While some people loved the display, it began to draw negative attention with several claiming they were offended.

Hoards of locals have since complained about the raunchy sight in the Spanish town near Toledo.

Hector has received numerous threats after a group launched a boycott of the store – with objector scrawling “pecadores” (sinners) on the shop’s sign.

He wrote on Facebook: “A man with his wife ordered me to remove the offending scene and said that if I didn’t he would remove it himself.”

But he received “overwhelming” support for the display after he replaced it with a poster asking people to vote on whether he should reinstate it.

He revealed at least 998 people called on him to remove the saucy display, but that there had been many more asking for it to return.

He said: “Closed the deadline of voting, our clients have decided by a large majority 78.5% that the Bethlehem must return to our window.”
