The Federal government has directed the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to investigate the circumstances surrounding the reported shooting of the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria reality show in South Africa.

In a statement on Tuesday, January 24, 2016, the Minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed ordered the NBC to determine whether Multi-Choice had breached Nigerian Broadcasting Code in any way by having the show in South Africa.

The NBC is also to investigate the issue of “possible deceit” since the viewing public was never told that the event would be staged outside Nigeria.

“As a country of laws, only the outcome of the investigation will determine our next line of action,” Mohammed said in a statement on Tuesday.

They lost all rights to that the moment they can’t provide basic amenities for the masses. No electricity, fuel price is high, and everything they need to do a good and world class show is not available here in naija, they will need to import it, why not take it to where you can get everything you need…
