Keke Palmer said she is pursuing legal action against Trey Songz after the singer put her in his “Pick Up the Phone” video allegedly without her concent.
The former friends are yet to end their bitter social media fight and things just got messier following the actress’ latest revelation about a possible legal action.
The former child actress has been slugging it out with Songz since last week and accused the “Trigga” crooner of sexual intimidation. She noted that she was shocked upon discovering she had been featured as a cameo in his “Pick Up The Phone” video after she reportedly told the singer and his team she wanted no part in it.
In an upcoming episode of Larry King Live set to air on February 1, Keke Palmer revealed she would be pressing charges even though the video has been taken down.
“Yes, I am [planning to take legal action]. I mean, it’s out and it’s over but I feel more so my point, it’s not just specifically about this person, this guy or what he did. It’s the overall idea that you can’t just do stuff to people and it’s all right. No matter who you are.”
During her sit-down with Larry King, the 23-year-old noted that she felt pressured to be in the video. She also stated that at that time, she had been drinking and eating and wasn’t in the right mind to make professional decisions, neither did she know the artist featured or if she liked the song. However, videos posted to #Snapchat proved otherwise
Keke blasted Songz in a series of posts and videos on Twitter and Instagram and revealed that he had betrayed their friendship by this singular act and the singer responded saying she could have called to have it sorted out instead.
Things are getting real ugly here by the minute. Their friendship may not survive this new turn.
This should be a memo to our overrated Nigeria celebs, learn to take legal action, instead of making unnecessary noise on social media.
