Liverpool Woes Continue With Humiliating League Cup Exit

Southampton reached the League Cup final Wednesday after an astonishing 1-0 victory against Liverpool in the semifinal second leg on Wednesday.

The Saints advance with a 2-0 aggregate triumph thanks to a clinical finish from Shane Long in stoppage-time at Anfield.

It is their first League Cup final appearance in 38 years and they go up against either Manchester United or Hull in this year’s showpiece at Wembley on February 26.

United, who hold a 2-0 advantage from the first-leg, travel to the KCOM on Thursday (today) for a place in the final.
