Video: Yayha Jammeh Personally Announce Decision To Step Down Via Live TV

Yahya Jammeh has officially announced his decision to step down and end his 22 years of dictatorship of Gambia.

This comes few hours after news had already filtered that he had signed the necessary papers and had agreed to cede power to new President, Adama Barrow.

In a broadcast that has since been shared via twitter, he said;

“I have decided today in good conscience to relinquish the mantle of leadership of this great nation.

“I thank you all…may Allah continue to bless our motherland, the #Gambia.”
