Reports making rounds online is that  Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has authorized the release of N350 million to fund an elaborate church thanksgiving service and reception in honor of former Governor James Onanefe Ibori.

Sahara Reporters reports  that Governor Okowa released the funds in order to ensure that the reception for Mr. Ibori, scheduled to take place on Sunday at the former governor’s hometown of Oghara, would be a huge event.

The official  who disclosed the information on the condition of anonymity said the governor decided that the state government must bankroll the events formally welcoming Ibori back to the state. The source added that the governor’s decision was also “a way to show gratitude to Chief Ibori, who single-handedly made sure that he won the 2015 governorship election.”

MDB, please tell me this is not true, GOSH!!! What is wrong with these people in government? Someone went to jail for stealing and a governor now approved N350M to welcome him back to same state he stole from, Chaiii…these men are PolitiLooters and something is telling me that the name “NIGERIA” may not see the next 20years. Sooner very soon, the poor won’t see anything to eat but will decide to eat the rich. Enough word is for the wise. #FoodForThought

There’s no way corruption will end in this nation when people celebrate a public thief and not shameful to be identified with a common looter. And some people including his people that he’s impoverished through his financial misappropriation will come there to cheer him. What a mess of a nation.
