For the third week, President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday failed to attend the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting holding at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting started without him showing up at the venue. The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo presided over the meeting.

FEC meeting was canceled last week apparently because of the inability of the president to participate but the presidency blamed it on Easter holiday which it said prevented necessary memos from being circulated for the meeting.

Cabinet members are expected to brief journalists on the outcome of the meeting.

President Buhari drastically scaled down his official activities since he returned from his medical tripto the United Kingdom, where he spent about 2 months.

Recall that the State House correspondent of The Punch Newspaper, Olalekan Adetayo, was on Monday expelled over a story on the President’s health.

The newspaper had on Sunday reported that there was fresh anxiety at the Presidential Villa over Buhari’s health.
