Following a terror attack carried out by a suicide bomber which killed 22 people and seriously injured a further 59, tributes from celebrities expressing sorrow and shock poured out.

Among the stars was Kim Kardashian who has been forced to remove her message after it received intense criticism.Earlier in the day, Kardashian tweeted her sympathies to the victims and the missing as well as their families and friends. “I can’t imagine the fear and agony these parents must be going through searching for the kids,” she said on Twitter.

However, it was a Tweet that she posted later in the day that caused offence. The reality star tweeted: “Concerts are supposed to be a place where you can let loose & have fun. So scary to not feel safe in this world. @arianagrande I love you”.

Attached to the tweet was picture of her and Ariana. The sentiment of the tweet was shared by many others on social media in the wake of the attack.

However, it wasn’t the sentiment that bothered people but the picture the reality star had chosen to attach to it. A flood of Tweets angrily called her out for posting a picture of herself…(ah Kim you f*** up.)

People questioned whether Kardashian was being narcissistic, while others wondered if those people had seen Grande in the picture. In reaction to that, the idea of the “rule of thirds” was brought into play to explain why Kardashian’s picture choice was unacceptable.

After the backlash, Kardashian felt driven to take the picture down. However, the anger has ensued and people started commenting on her other social media posts.

Haters always looking for ways to attack poor innocent Kimmy, she tried to do something good and still they attacked her.
I pray for those affected by the Manchester bomb blast, the injured and may the soul of the departed rest in peace.
    It is well.
