Wow. Less than an hour after it emerged that INEC declared the Kogi state elections inconclusive, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state, Mr. Abubakar Audu has died.
Mr. Audu died of undisclosed medical reasons shortly after INEC declared his victory at the elections inconclusive.
It is suspected that Mr Audu died of cardiac arrest.

UPDATE: Audu is said to have died earlier today around 9am, but his death was kept secret by his family and associates according to additional reports from Kogi State.

Indeed, his death will throw up constitutional crisis per adventure APC ultimately win the election when considered conclusive.
Issues like election can only be contested by a governorship candidate and a deputy. Thus, by the rescheduled date will APC have announced a replacement. And even if they do, does the law allows for subtitution of candidate even in such extreme circumstances. Also, picking a new candidate will confer undue advantage on the party! So many issues loading!
