BREAKING! Court Of Appeals Sacks Akwa Ibom State Assembly Speaker

The speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Aniekan Uko has been sacked by a panel of three judges of the Abuja Court of Appeal, led by Justice Moshood Oredola Abdulrahman, it has emerged.

The court in its decision held that election of Uko who represents Ibesikpo Asuntan constituency was marred with malpractices.

It however upheld the election of two other members of the House of Assembly as valid, but ordered a rerun of Uko’s election.
