So I just found out that Christ Embassy, under the leadership of the General Overseer Chris Oyakhilome charges N1000 for its annual cross over service and this is said to have been going on for about 4 years.
As a result, anyone who cannot afford the gate fee for the annual cross over service in the church in Oregun area of Lagos state is turned back at the gate.
The church explains that the reason it charges an entrance fee for the pass over night is to control the massive crowd that troops to the church on Dec 31st night.
This year, I hear things were taken up a notch as the Church insisted that those who wish to attend the cross over service purchase an electronic gate pass (whatever that means) for N1000. The headquarters at Oregun is said to sit about 20,000 people. So if they all pay…ha, thats like 20m in one night. Do you guys think this is OK? I honestly don’t think it is, but then again what do I know?

MDB can u ever imagine if RCCG host end of the year service in camp? Now you are talking rubbish about a man of God that’s spiritually and technologically wise so that people will not say he killed them for his new year eve’s program. Imagine the kinda traffic on Lagos/ibadan express because of MFM. This man of God gave like $185,000 to youth empowerment in that program, which I’m sure u didn’t know. Anyway use blog also to advise Nigerians to grow up spiritually because the spirit of God can get to anywhere.

I believe he meant christ Embassy did that to control the crowd so that there won’t be stampede which has been recorded in some churches in the past. He then proceeded to emphasize that it is not about the money, afterall the Pastor empowered some youths with $185000….. That’s all. Happy new year mojisola.
