Pictured above is a 28-feet-tall statue of Christ dubbed “Jesus de Greatest”.
The statue will be unveiled at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in the Abajah LGA, Imo state, on January 1, 2016. The magnificent statue which weighs about 40 ton is made of marble and will be the 5th tallest statue in Africa.
The piece of art was donated by Obinna Onuoha, a graduate of York St. Johns University in the United Kingdom and the Harvard Business School and the founder of Premier Petroleum Ltd.
The world’s tallest statue of Jesus is ‘Christ the King’ in Świebodzin,” in Poland, with a height of 172 feet.
