Time Magazine Releases 2016’s 100 Most Influential People
Time Magazine has rolled out its 2016 edition of the Time 100 – an annual list of the ‘most influential people’ in the world and sadly, no Nigerian made the cut
.
Nigerians such as President Muhammadu Buhari, Oby Ezekwesili, author, Chimamanda Adichie , Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and several others have made the list in the past.
The list was divided into 5 categories – Leaders, Titans, Pioneers, Artists and
Icons.
The Leaders category include President Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders among
others.
In the Pioneers category, Caitlyn Jenner, Gina Rodriguez, and Hamilton creator – Lin-Manuel Miranda appeared on the list.
Some of the Titans are Dwayne Johnson, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, while Leonardo DiCaprio, Kendrick Lamar, Idris Elba, Taraji P. Henson, Charlize Theron also made the
Artists list.
Singer, Nicki Minaj, Lewis Hamilton, Adele, Ronda Rousey, and Leonardo DiCaprio were among the Icons.
This year the list has six covers featuring Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio, Priyanka Chopra, Nicki Minaj, Christine Lagarde, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla
Really happy to see Leonardo DiCaprio and Revenant director Alejandro González Iñárritu on the list as Icons.
Since no Nigerian there, I ain’t interested.
