Ben Bruce Reacts To AMCON Taking Over Properties, Assets
Silver bird boss and law maker Senator Ben Murray Bruce has reacted to the current crisis rocking his business as reports circulated this morning that the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has taken over three companies belonging to him and his brothers.
The assets were seized following the failure of Senator Murray-Bruce and his brothers to settle an N11 billion loan owed Union Bank and acquired by AMCON.
Mr. Murray Bruce and his brothers, using their companies, had between 2005 and 2007 borrowed various sums of money from Union Bank.
After they repeatedly defaulted in paying back, AMCON purchased the loan in 2011 to save the bank from collapsing.
AMCON has now the assets belonging to the three companies used in securing the loan – Silverbird Productions Limited, Silverbird Showtime Limited and Silverbird Galleria Limited.
Reacting on micro blogging social networking site Twitter, he wrote:
Hopefully he will like he said sort it all out soon.
And you tell me Parle Buhari is not witch-hunting oppositions? (Tales by sunlight). In all fairness to gullible Nigerians, APC and PDP members are “Six and half a dozen”. Show me that Politician who is free of corruption. If this corruption mode was activated per excellence, then it would have started with the likes of Fashola, Amaechi, Tinubu, etc. I don’t quite understand why those who live in the glass houses throw stones. It startles my sensibility. All Politicians past and present are corrupt.
Ben Murray Bruce just trying to make common sense… #ItIsWell…
Like I once told Moji and people around me before the elections. The only reason I never supported PMB was his association…Tinubu, Amaechi etc. I knew the corruption fight will only be a witch-hunting and will grossly be biased. It’s a pity am being proved right.
Nigerians are yet to understand that Tinubu is a crafty orchestrator. All he is doing is dig up dirts on anyone who dare speak against the obvious wrongs of this administration thereby killing every opposition against his party’s come back…Saraki, Fayose, FFK, Metuh, Ben Bruce etc. How long before nobody is able to talk??
I know many politicians in APC who are tired and want to come out but are forced to stay for fear of what will befall them once they do. The neutral youth and civil society groups that shld speak are being bribed to keep quiet. I only pity the masses…as the only obvious way out is continuous prayer that they (APC) get things right and await when God will raise those with good political background who will be able to dare the devil. God bless Nigeria!!
