US Govt Cancels Visas Of 3 Nigerian Lawmakers Accused Of Sexual Misconduct In Cleveland
US government has cancelled the visas of the three house of Representatives members, Samuel Ikon (PDP, Akwa Ibom), Mohammed Gololo (APC, Bauchi) and Mark Gbillah (APC, Benue), all pictured above, accused of alleged sexual misconduct while on an official assignment in Cleveland, USA in April this year.
In a petition written by the US Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle, and sent to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, the US government alleged that while the lawmakers lodged at a Cleveland Hotel to attend the International Visitors Leadership Program, Honorable Gololo grabbed the housekeeper of the hotel they lodged in and solicited for sex while the other two lawmakers asked the hotel parking lot attendants to help them get prostitutes.
As punishments for their misconducts, the US government has cancelled their visa, barring them from entering the US. The lawmakers have denied the allegations. One of them, Gololo has even threatened to sue the US government.
Meanwhile the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has set up a panel of enquiry into the matter.

Always setting up panels for everything, at the end of the day, nothing fruitful comes out of it.
Am precariously ashamed for them. I hope that this is not a purported attempt to have their pedigrees smirched? Be that as it may, Am not oblivious of the fact that male creatures have amoral propensities, but should persons of these categories not tame their third legs in strange lands knowing that the press is watching? In my objective opinion, no ‘sane’ man would grab a lady sans her consent with a compromising intent. I suggest that these allegations be properly routed cos I fear what their fate may become. Regarding the twain who asked to be given prostitutes, (I take a deep breath. Has this innate animalistic craving for sex become so untameable? Have your male organs become recalcitrant and refused to be goaded by the strictures of rectitude? If these allegations be true, I would suggest instant removal from office of these tri, this will serve as a deterant to their likes.
