Just In: Black America Angered As Officer Charged With Killing Freddie Gray Is Acquitted Of All Charges

Prosecutors in Baltimore,Maryland have failed for the fourth time to secure a conviction in the Freddie Gray case, with Circuit Judge Barry G. Williams acquitting Lt. Brian Rice of all charges related to Gray’s arrest and death in 2014.

Williams cleared Rice, 42, of involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office in a downtown Baltimore courtroom this morning. The judge had dismissed a second-degree assault charge and the prosecutors dropped a second misconduct charge also.

Freddie’s Death
Freddie Gray’s death sparked riots around the US especially in predominantly Black American communities in 2014 calling for the death sentence to all officers involved namely Officer Garrett Miller,Sgt Alicia White, Officer William Porter and Lt. Brian Rice who was the team lead in the arrest.

Freddie Gray’s death was caused by an injury to the spinal cord while he was being transported by the said officers because he was no fastened for his safety while on handcuffs.

Treats have been pouring in on social media mainly from blacks around the country who feel they have been “robbed of justice” and are determined to take matters into their own hands.

Currently all four are in protective custody pending when tensions calm.
