Less than 48 hours after news spread that a trader was arrested for naming his dog ‘Buhari’, a woman identified with the Facebook name Ada Ogbonna has shared a photo of her dog who interesting bears the name ‘Lai Mohammed’, same as Nigeria’s information minister.
In the photo which she shared with her friends, Ada claimed that she named the dog after a person she ‘admires’, and rebuked the police for arresting the man who named his dog “Buhari”.
What are your thoughts about people naming their dogs after public figures, regardless of their reasons?
