Dating in Lagos can be expensive hence most if the times we prefer to cook at home for a loved one,afterall there is rice.
Even more annoying is having to pay through the nose for a crappy meal just to impress a date.
Worry no more! here are some of the fabulous places to go on a date in Lagos and eat wella without having to come with a bullion van.
1. Terra Kulture
Probably my favourite place of the lot. Lagos’ premier arts, education and food centre, Terra Kulture has been an important and leading promoter of Nigerian culture since 2004.
The food court at Terra Kulture celebrates the very best of Nigerian cuisine, offering an ample choice of locally grown and traditional gastronomic delights, such as theofada rice, catfish and boiled yam or plantain. Not only is the food quintessentially Nigerian, but so is the food court’s décor of hand-crafted wooden furniture, and even the waiter’s uniforms. When visitors have finished dining, they can also feast on the rich Nigerian art on display in the adjoining gallery space by travelling across the bridge located in the restaurant.
2. Rhapsody’s
Rhapsody’s has a gorgeous ambience. Located in Ikeja City Mall in Alausa, Ikeja, the restaurant is known for its romantic settings, a perfect place for a date. You are going to enjoy a lovely afternoon or evening with their overall fine food and service. 3. Bheerhugz
Bheerhugz is a perfect place for a romantic date. Located in Ikeja City Mall, it is a spot for all kinds of minds and personalities with lots of activities for the quiet and the loud. It’s a spot that music and sports lovers will cherish; karaoke here is impeccable. They are also known for their wide variety of drinks. In a finely dim, romantic scenery, you’ll enjoy their red hugz menu – chicken, fish and goat red hugz. The ‘Pork chops’ is a favourite, don’t leave without trying it.
4. Ember Creek
Ember Creek has such an amazing vibe and ambiance for friends hangout and romantic dates.Located on the coastal shores of Ikoyi with a wonderful panoramic view of the waterfront terrace, it’s a resort that has so much to offer in terms of the terrain, food, drinks and other acts. It has such a great place to visit with your special someone.
5. The Place
Located on the island in Lekki phase 1 and Ikeja metropolis, The Place varieties speak; food, drinks and all sorts of refreshment. The tempo is calm and music here speaks to your soul. Perfect for a date, particularly when you’re looking to really have some “alone” time with that special someone.
6. Barcelos
The lights and interior are perfectly crafted and designed to welcome you with arm’s wide open. Known for the grilled meat and cocktails of all kind, Barcelos is a place with a touch of class for those who are looking to impress their dates. 7. Domino’s Pizza
Domino’s Pizza is everywhere in Lagos, either on the mainland or island. It’s a place where people frequent a lot not just for their tasty pizza but also for what comes in between – the vibes, which is lively yet cosy, making for a great place to enjoy a delicious pizza and even talk for hours. 8. Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC)
KFC has a lot of branches, scattered round Lagos with each located in strategic spots. Their distinctive shade of red speaks in silence, creating this aura of love and welcome. They are known for their delicious chicken drumsticks and chips. It’s also a great location for a great date. Pleeeeeassse you have not lived till you try their Boss Burger.
9. Jazzhole
Explore this breathtaking cafe’s collection of vintage books, music record and art. Jazzhole is located off Awolowo way in Ikoyi, It’s not your after-day spot but if you are a lover of art, books and good music, it is a perfect place to go for a date. It’s quiet and calm for the reserved
10. Cold Stone Creamery
If you have a sweet-tooth and you like a/c then this is the place to be. The pastry and Ice cream shrine known as Cold Stone Creamery.
Strictly known for their ice cream and shakes which comes in a wide array of choices. Enjoy tasty shakes with you date in this cosy environment. The ambience, service and reception are priceless. A place you’ll certainly pick for a date over and over again.
I dunno if it’s just me, but some KFC branches aren’t doing too well.
All these places look really nice but expensive as well.
