WEIRD: Man Who Is Addicted To Funerals, Says He Falls Sick When He Doesn’t Attend At Least One Every Week
Addiction is usually associated with drugs, food, cigarettes, alcohol etc.
However when a person becomes addicted to ‘funerals’ then it becomes something entirely different and unusual.
Funeral addiction is described as a need to constantly attend funerals, wearing the appropriate clothing or attire (frequently referred to as funeral chic).
Funeral addicts are often known to search the internet, daily local newspapers and other sources for information on the latest deaths in town. They often call up local radio stations to learn of the latest fatalities. The funeral addict then attends as many of these funerals as possible. Funeral addicts are believed to attend up to 50 funerals per week as the addiction grows. His increasing dependence forces him to travel to other towns, and even sometimes other countries, to feed his addiction
For the purpose of this article,I turn my concentration to a Brazilian- Luis Squarisi, who is a 42-year-old that has a bizarre taste for the macabre to attend every funeral in the town for the past 20 years and he has even quit his job to feed his habit.
He says: “The first thing I do every morning is turn on the radio to find out if anyone has died. If I don’t hear anything I call the hospitals. My suit is always ready for an outing”
Its so bad that he becomes extremely moody, sometimes even falls sick when he hasn’t attended more than one funeral per week.
Locals dare not trouble him because they fear he is a manifestation of an Angel of death who comes to reap souls of the deceased at burial grounds.
Nothing person no go see in the world today.
Na wa o!
