A woman was killed during a drive-by shooting at an apartment complex in Houston, Texas this afternoon about 12:20 p.m.
Sgt. Mark Holbrook, of Houston police, said that a car drove through the parking lot of the complex and someone fired at least five shots into a second-floor apartment, killing the woman.
The woman’s family identified the victim as 19-year-old Lekendra Childs, who is the mother of a 2-year-old.
Holbrook said the woman’s boyfriend came home and found her body.
The car involved in the shooting was described as a black, newer-model Camaro with tinted windows, Holbrook said.
The gunman is however, is believed to have a shaved head and from description of the suspect from an eyewitness, the boyfriend of the victim was able to determine that it was his ex-girlfriend who shot Lekandra to get back at him for breaking her heart a year ago.
Currently the suspect is on the run and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
Just so you know, her birthday is tomorrow…..
