FORBES HIP-HOP CASH PRINCE’S OF 2016 SO FAR
Prepare the throne. Forbes has announced its Hip-Hop Cash Princes list for 2016, a look at rap acts who have the potential to earn Cash King status.
Fetty Wap leads the list, thanks to his slew of hits including “Trap Queen,” “679,” “Again,” and “My Way,” Fetty had a tremendous kick-start to his career.
“He’s earned two Grammy nominations and seems to have solidified himself as one of the big names in hip-hop going forward,” said Forbes writer Zack O’Malley Greenburg.
This list isn’t reserved just for the fellas, as DeJ Loaf proves. The 24-year-old Detroit MC is building on the success of her 2014 hit “Try Me” and her EP #AndSeeThatsTheThing, which got as high as No. 47 on the Billboard 200 in 2015.
G-Eazy, Logic, Joey Bada$$, Metro Boomin, and Little Simz also appear on the list. Check out a full run-down of the Cash Princes below. Others following close behind are in no particular:
