There have been 11 deaths and 99 injuries overall. It’s very common for people to be trampled while rushing into a store the moment it opens. Fights over the best deals out there have caused people to break out into fights and lose their sense of humanity.
Is it worth fighting some stranger over a good deal on a TV or a mobile phone? Most would say no, but surprisingly that’s a risk people are willing to take. Around 97 million people go Black Friday shopping every year.
Studies have shown that places like Walmart which is a popular chain if superstores is one of the most dangerous places to go on Black Friday. There have been numerous deaths and even suicides in the Walmarts around the world.
People may think this extraordinary sales day is only dangerous for the shoppers. However, this is not the case at all. It may sound crazy, but there have been incidents of the employees committing suicide because of the stress and insanity of shoppers!…hmmmm…Na wa o! To make matters worse, shoppers have murdered and trampled many workers over time.
To prevent these tragic incidents, many stores around the world start their Black Friday sales a week before the due date to lengthen the time shoppers have to buy what they need. The goal is to calm people down and give them more time to shop so that they won’t be in such a rush come Friday and make rash life–ending decisions.
A lot of people save themselves the time and effort of the busiest shopping day of the year by doing it online! Online shopping has become very popular among shoppers who just don’t want to deal with the crowds. This is a method a lot of stores are using to expand their sales to those people who don’t leave the house on Black Friday.
There are a number of restaurants and stores around the world that won’t even be open for Black Friday. They close up their stores so they don’t have to take the risk of something horrible happening. This is starting to become very popular among stores and will their numbers will most likely grow over the years as more and more bad incidents occur.
So if you decide to go Black Friday Shopping, take safety precautions! You never know when someone could be going after that same video game or pair of shoes you’re going after!
