The Kokomaster! D’banj bags Another International Entertainment Award at The British House Of Parliament
Popular Hip Hop act, Dapo ‘D’banj’ Oyebanjo has added yet another international award to his already overflowing awards cabinet again.
The veteran artiste who has been very much on the music industry sidelines lately, was honored with the BEFFTA Entertainment Icon Award over the weekend.
The awards event which took place at the British House of Parliament in Westminster, London was heavily attended by big industry personalities.
Top among them are Dr. Pauline Long (Founder, BEFFTA Awards), Chief Bimbo Afolayan who is presently the chairman of BEFFTA, Dayo Olomu and many more people.
D’banj who’s also currently on a tour of the United Kingdom, announced on his social media page that he received his award from Lord John Bird, a British parliamentarian.
Talking about the award, He had this to say;
“Yesterday, I received the #BEFFTA Entertainment Icon Award at the British House of Parliament in Westminster, London From Lord John Bird.
“I am Humbled for this unique opportunity to be a beacon of Visible Hope,” the singer said.
“I am very grateful for this award. I realized about three years ago, that to whom much is given, much is expected, so I am happy to be honored and will continue to do my best for my fans and all those I can help.”
The eight edition of the event was heavily attended by stars from UK Europe, USA, Asia and Africa. BEFFTA is aimed at honouring the best entertainment, showbiz, leadership and sports personalities in the UK and across the globe.
