Who Invented Dabbing?
Dabbing was originally a form of marijuana use, but much like the term “dope,” it has gone on to form a second meaning all its own.
The dab is a dance move in which the dancer simultaneously drops the head while raising an arm and the elbow in a gesture that has been noted to resemble sneezing.
The dance originated in Atlanta, where a handful of rappers, most notably US rap groups like Migos and frequent collaborators Jose Guapo, Skippa Da Flippa, and PeeWee Longway who frequently used the move in their music videos and mixtapes and made it relatively popular among the black community.
Naturally, the dance made its way to social media, where people all over the country shared Vines and videos of themselves doing the dab.
Dabbing today has reached new heights as people of every race, color, and creed started doing the dance across America and the world in general..
