Nigerian born – British actor, John Boyega is currently in Lagos on vacation for the festive period.
Everyone knows that there’s no Nigerian Christmas meal without Jollof rice on the menu and John Boyega agrees as the 24-year-old who is currently in Lagos shared his experience, cooking his first-ever ‘jellof’ rice.
The 24-yr-old British Nigerian actor got down to serious business, suitably garbed in an apron and maintaining a look of intense concentration as he worked his culinary skills under the watchful eyes of a tutor.
Taking to Instagram, he shared a video of his experience, noting that despite this being his first time, the Jollof rice tasted good.
“Another great activity! Learning how to throw down and cook some jellof. Believe it or not it tasted decent for a first try 😁,” he wrote.
Fans could not help but jump in on the comment section to laud his culinary skills and some even recalled his ‘oily rice’ in the movie- Half of a Yellow Sun.
If only we could get a taste to judge how well the end product tasted. However, the knowledge that he can cook jellof rice at all already adds several yards to his husband material.
