Multiple award winning singer Celine Dion – or as Edo people will have it, ‘Celina Odion‘ – turned down an invitation to come perform at President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony billed to hold 20th January 2017 due to an earlier booked engagement in Vegas that same day.
Sources close to her revealed that she is billed to perform in Vegas from 17th January to 21st January 2017 at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
See what her production team had to say,
“Celine is famously loyal to her fans, and cancelling wasn’t an option because many fans plan vacations around the show. Also, she already had to postpone several dates this year following her husband’s death”.
She had also rejected an invitation to sing at the Oscar’s because of conflicting obligation’ so turning down Trump’s inauguration is not because she is anti-Trump but she cares for her fans more.
This is something not common in the global music industry.
