From stories that have been flying around for a couple of days now, it appears that to be the usual practice for retired Inspector Generals of Police to leave office with a lot of cars.
Unfortunately for the most recent retired IG Solomon Arase (and his deputies), he handed over power to an IG who doesn’t believe in “grabbing” . In fact one of the reasons President Buhari is said to have appointed Ibrahim Kpotun Idris as IGP is because he was checked and found to be living a modest lifestyle.
Now, the Nigerian Police has recovered some of the said cars allegedly taken away by ex-Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase and seven Deputy Inspectors-General of Police who retired alongside him.
The cars include 3 BMW Luxury Sedans And 27 other Vehicles.
