The 2016 Headies awards has just been concluded, and thankfully it was drama free.
This year, the organizers gave it an old school touch with Remedies, Daddy Showkey, Raskimono, Jazzman Olofin and Ayuba performing and it was quite refreshing.
Other highlights of the night was Mr Eazi winning the Next Rated award, and Wizkid’s arrival at the event. The hosts of the night Adesuwa Etomi, and Falz towards the end of the award did a Bobrisky impersonation and it was hilarious. Adesuwa acted as Bobrisky’s ‘BAE’ and Falz Bobrisky himself. Meanwhile Twitter roasted the organizers for the bad quality of the images and sound with some comparing the awards to Mrs Moremi in Unilag lol. Others even suggested the award be scrapped or at least revamped. I personally think it needs to be revamped and after 11 years the organizers need to do more with the quality of the live broadcast.
