Antonio Conte toasted and congratulated his Chelsea squad for their near-immaculate start to the season at thier annual end-of-the-year lunch.
Regardless of the New Year’s Eve results, Chelsea will top the Premier League table at the end of the year after an incredible run of form.
Conte thanked all of his team and the club staff for their efforts during the annual Christmas lunch at the Cobham training ground.
He wished them all a merry Christmas and a happy new year in a short speech.
Glasses were raised and crackers were pulled in a show of unity between the table-toppers as they looked back over a rollercoaster 2016.
Most of the Chelsea squad attended the lunch, including loanees who returned to England during winter breaks in their respective leagues.
Eden Hazard was seen joking with one such player, Charly Musonda, who had returned from Real Betis briefly.
Veterans John Terry and John Obi Mikel enjoyed a conversation, while Chelsea TV footage also caught N’Golo Kante, Micky Batshuayi and Thibaut Courtois digging into their turkey dinners.
