Adama Barrow Appoints Female Advocator, Ms Fatoumatou As Vice President Of Gambia
New Gambian President, Adama Barrow has begun the gradual fulfillment of some of his campaign promises despite having not even spent 5 days in office.
One of his key campaign basis was women empowerment, and it looks like he has just made a power and leadership statement with his latest move.
On Monday, the President announced the appointment of Tambajang as his Gambian vice-president and right hand.

The new Gambian vice-president has been described as an untiring change agent who worked ceaselessly to unite opposition parties for the herculean task of ending former President Yahya Jammeh’s 22-year rule.
Gambian media outfit, Fatu Network, describes Ms Fatoumata Tambajang as a “good mediator engaging opposition parties to create a credible gender-balanced coalition for the 2016 National Elections which resulted to her election as Chair of the Coalition that fought to effect a regime change.”
Halifa Sallah, the Spokesperson of President Adama Barrow, at a Press Conference held in Banjul on Monday said the remaining list of Cabinet ministers will be announced later on State TV GRTS.
