Breaking! Pastor Adeboye Retires As RCCG General Overseer, Names Successor

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]astor E.A Adeboye has reportedly retired as the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, it has emerged.

The respected man of God announced his decision on Saturday morning, January 7.

Pastor J.O. Obayemi has been named as his successor. Until his appointment, Obayemi, was a deputy in charge of Finance and a member of governing council.

Adeboye, 74, was appointed general overseer of the church in 1981, taking over from Papa Akindayomi, who died the previous year.
