The drama currently being played out between Harrysong and his former label, Five Star Music is the talk of the moment across all social media platforms.
The singer who left the label months ago, was arrested yesterday by a team of Lagos police officers following complaints filed against him by his former record company, Five Star Music.
The record label accused the Reggae Blues singer of breaching their contract and committing fraud, allegations which came after the singer dumped them and launched his own music company, Alter Plate.
Harrysong was released from the Onikan police station hours after his arrest, and he quickly took to his Instagram to celebrate the release.
“Thank you all so so much for the love and prayers,” the singer captioned the clip of his team popping champagne, celerbating his release.
He continued, “Don’t be scared..they can’t pull us down.”

Meanwhile, Five Star Music has released a lengthy statement, explaining why they are taking legal action against the singer.

I was at oriental hotel couple of years ago, where Harrysong performed at industry nite, he spent most of the performance thanking Kcee and Five Star music for saving his career. It got to a point, it began to annoy me, and I began to wonder why he would waste unnecessary time praising people when we all came there to watch great performance, and he was acting all sunny Ade on stage praising E money and the rest.
A lot of artiste career rundown under Question mark Label, Asa almost lost everything because of Kevin Luciano, street monks, silver Saddie, Nnenna, just to mention few, are nowhere to be found today, even ModeNine’s career has taken back seat, and the time Question Mark held on to Cobham Asuquo, not willing to release him. Kevin was a beast who takes no prisoners at all, he even threatened the label manager who was Lara George’s husband with a gun and got away with it.
Five star saved what could have been the death of Harrysong’s career, they resurrected his dream, and vision, and this is how he pay them back. At least if he wants to leave he should honor the terms and agreement of the contract, courtesy demands he show some gratitude for their sacrifice for him.
This is one of the reasons privileged people find it hard to help the less privileged.
