A lucky couple in Calabar, Cross River State, yesterday welcomed a set of quintuplets which reportedly is the state’s first set of quintuplets.
According to Cross River Watch, Dr. Edet Okon and his wife have been married for ten years before the successful delivery of their children at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH.
Congratulating the couple, Dr. Linda Ayade, the Wife of the Governor, gave the family N1m, donated an incubator to the hospital and also gave N500,000 to the medical team, led by Professor Iklaki.
“Five is a divine number for Jesus, Grace, Mercy. 9th January is the number of completion on the first month of the year. This event is a sign from God that this is our year of abundance. On the first day of the year, it was twins, today it’s quintuplets, am over joyed,” Dr Ayade said.
