Harry Kane announced the birth of his first child to his Twitter followers.
The Tottenham and England star revealed the news that his long-term girlfriend Kate Goodland has given birth to a baby girl.
The couple have named their newborn Ivy Jane Kane and the baby weighed 7.8lbs.
Kane spoke of his pride and ‘amazing feeling’ following Ivy Jane’s birth and shared the news with his 611,000 followers.
The new parents have known each other since their school days and have been together since their teenage years.
Following the news that they had become parents, Tottenham team-mate Dele Alli congratulated the pair.
He took to Twitter after the club’s clash with Aston Villa, saying: ‘Special congrats to Harry Kane and Kate Goodland on becoming parents.’
Meanwhile England and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney also sent his congratulations to the pair by saying: ‘Congrats to you both. Your next dele.’
Given the developments in his family life, Kane was unavailable for Tottenham in their FA Cup victory against Aston Villa.
