After inciting a rumour which later fizzled out within hours, Wizkid’s babymama, Shola Ogududu has moved to debunk the news that she is engaged.
This came hours after she had taken to SnapChat to tease followers with a photo of an engagement ring on her finger captioned with a single word, “YES!”. And not long after, fans flooded her social media with congratulatory messages.
However, on seeing the misleading effect her post had on fans, she quickly moved to deny the already spreading news.
“Shola is not engaged,” she began. “She would be eventually at the right time and to the best man (Amen), but don’t chase him away with false news please.”
Shola’s history with Wizkid has always won her a lot of sympathetic fans. During her final year at the university, she got pregnant for the singer and struggled to graduate with a good result. It would take two more years before the singer accepted her son Boluwatife as his.
The mum never fails to share her bonding moments with her son, and so when she shared the presumptive story of an engagement, fans gulped it. Now, she is setting the records straight.
