Graphic: Two Taraba NYSC Members Die In Fatal Crash While Returning From Camp
Two members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) posted to Taraba State were reportedly involved in a terrifying auto accident along the Taraba-Benue Expressway.
According to Kikiotolu, the corps members were on their way home after the mandatory 21-day orientation at the camp in Taraba State when their commuter bus – Benue Links – crashed.
Sadly, the two young graduates died in the accident. One of the deceased has so far been identified simply as Becky. She was said to be in the number 9 Platoon of the 2016 Batch B Stream 2 Taraba state
Here’s what Kikiotolu said:
“The corp members who were part of the 2016 Batch B Stream 2 of the NYSC scheme lost their lives while returning home from the 21 days orientation camp in Taraba State. The unfortunate incident also saw other passengers of the vehicle sustain injuries. The bus was conveying mostly youth corps members from Taraba to Benue state before it crashed.
A source who spoke exclusively with kikiotolu revealed to us that one of the victims name is Becky and was a member of the number 9 Platoon of the 2016 Batch B Stream 2 Taraba state. She was returning back home just like every other youth corps member but met her end on the road.”
