Yet another vehicle has plunged into water in Lagos, this time it happened at Bonny Camp with at least one person reported dead.
The news was shared by witnesses at the scene who reported that the car – a silver sedan – skidded off the Bonny Camp bridge. The driver of the car – a man – reportedly climbed out of the car but at least one occupant was unable to make it out as the vehicle disappeared under water.
Later, the operatives of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency arrived at the scene with heavy equipment with which they pulled out the car from the lagoon.
“Silver Sedan Looks like a Silver Camry (Muscle) was Pulled out of the Ocean. Only saw them Take out 1 Body tho(sic),” an Instagrammer said, and another corroborated the claim.
“God I witnessed it but d man is out car as sinked with wife(sic),” another Instagrammer said.
This sad news comes just days after a bus crashed into the Majidun River around the Mile 2 area of Lagos, killing at least 4 people.
The police is yet to release an official statement.
