Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi who plied his trade in the Italian super league with Lazio has just come out of a critical surgery.
The Jos born midfielder revealed this much in an Instagram post which he captioned, : “Thank God for a successful surgery no cause for alarm will be set for Monday #determinedtosucceed #ooe” .
The post which he made from the hospital bed has since garnered reactions and prayers alike from his Nigerian fans.
Onazi joined Lazio in 2011, alongside his teammate, Sani Emmanuel. The pair trialled in England, Greece and Italy following appearances at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, in which Nigeria reached the final on home soil, losing to Switzerland.
On 22 September 2014, Onazi signed another two-year contract extension with Lazio until 2018 but was later transferred on 2 August 2016 to Turkish league side, Trabzonspor
