The relationship between Davido and his first baby mama, Sophie Momodu, appears to have blossomed into something concrete and admirable.
Yesterday, the 24-year-old If singer took to his Snapchat to make a surprising declaration about the mother of his daughter, Imade.
“I love my baby mama!!!”he wrote and then added “Sophie, we up!!!”
It is no news that Davido, who is
expecting baby no.2 with an Atlanta-based girlfriend , and the fashion entrepreneur have had quite a tumultuous relationship in the past.
In 2015, the two were embroiled in a long custody war over their daughter Imade, engaging in nasty fights on social media.
However, late last year the duo
reconciled and decided to make peace for the sake of their daughter.
They both worked together to throw Imade an amazing 1st birthday party.
In an interview with Pulse , Davido disclosed that he and Sophie had reached a stable and happy place.
“We are co-parenting now. Whenever she brings by daughter, I give her a hug.”
