Wizkid Reflects On Good Old Days, Shares Video From His First Ever Studio
Starboy’s Wizkid is presently one of Africa’s biggest star and while the 26-year-old superstar keeps winning daily, he is not forgetting his roots.
Yesterday, the award-winning Sweet love crooner took to his instagram to reminisce on the good old days when he used to hit his old studio in Surulere. Wizkid, who got his first Grammy nomination last year, shared a video of the studio located in Eric Moore, Surulere, after Singer Sound Sultan sent him a video of the place.
“Big bro @soundsultan sent me a video of my old studio! Looks way better now btw!” he wrote. He also added how he and his colleague spent most of their days there working, he then finished off the caption with, “Thankful to God for blessings! Ghetto youth don’t stop believing!!

Wizkid has definitely come a long way from frequenting the late OJB Jezreel”s Point Beats Studio in Surulere to watching Tubaba record his Grass to Grace album, to working with Sound Sultan, and getting signed to Banky W’s EME label.
Today, Wizkid doesn’t only have his own label with a very successful artiste signed to it, but has also worked with several big international stars including Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Drake.
Hard work and determination does pay!
