WOW! Popular Designer, Toyin Lawani Reaches Out To The Less Privileged On The Streets With Gifts As She Celebrates Birthday
Toyin Lawani has a big heart.
Yesterday, the Tiannah’s Place Empire CEO took to her Instagram to share a video of how she celebrated her birthday with the needy, and from the clips, the fashion designer is seen giving out clothes, food items, cash gifts among other things, to a handful of those who desperately need them.
She said:
“I believe the true essence of living is not only by how long you live, or how old you are, but how many lives you are able to touch and how many faces you are able to put smiles on. So I started out my day with an outreach to the less privileges on the streets. And I am so fulfilled. All thanks to God for making it possible. You can make a mans Day with just By giving them Food, A Drink, slippers on their feet and 1000k in their pocket,i see people kill thieves and crucify prostitues ,if they had what to Eat they wouldnt even Be stealing in The first place..spread love not Hate.”
This is not the first time Toyin Lawani would move Nigerians with her acts of philanthropy.
Last March, the designer, who has worked with top acts including Ciara, shared the gripping stories of the people she rescued from the streets, including co-creator Glady who suffers hearing impairment, and Lekan her hairstylist, who she found in Lagos traffic.
And Lawani believes she wouldn’t have been successful without her late mother’s blessing, because after she was done with spending most part of the day with the needy, the mum of two visited her late mother’s grave in Lagos with wreaths.
“She prays for me in a special way on my birthdays. My Day wouldn’t have been complete without visiting her grave site,” Lawani said. “She is no more here to see how far I have taken the businesses she started, she was so hardworking and a super entrepreneur with so much passion and talent, but I’m sure she will be proud of me where ever she is.“
She continued, “I’m sure she’s happy cause of who I have become. I miss her so much, wish she was here to see it all, to help me with my pains and celebrate my gains with me.”
