Artisan Wins brand new car in Skye BANK/MONEYGRAM ‘RECEIVE N WIN’ PROMO Grand Draw
Skye Bank Plc., yesterday presented an Aluminum Fabricator, John Paul with the keys to a brand new car he won in the just-concluded MoneyGram/Skye Bank ‘Receive N Win’ Promo.
Two other winners, Messrs Chinedu Lucky, a Trader in Alaba Market and Ademola Abayomi, an Event Planner respectively also picked up N1million naira and N500,000 among other 49 winners who won different cash prizes and other material rewards in the promo.
The 90-days promotion exercise commenced in December 2016 through February this year.
Presenting the keys to the car to Paul, Skye Bank’s Managing Director/CEO, Tokunbo Abiru congratulated him for emerging the grand prize winner and a proud owner of a brand new car in a recession, even as he solicited for continued patronage of the Bank by “our customers and the general public to enable us meet our dream of reaching number one”.
According to the CEO, “It is a privilege to talk to you on how we have fared as a Bank in the Moneygram business which spans over a 5 years association. And within that period, we have competed keenly with other banks and today we are number two in terms of volume and value and have our eyes firmly on reaching our goal – to be number one in this business- and we can only get to the number one position only with the continued support of our loyal customers, stakeholders and the general public”.
In all, 53 lucky customers of Skye Bank Plc., and members of the public, across different business locations in Nigeria, were rewarded handsomely during the promo period. At the grand draw, winners were presented with different prizes such as Samsung Tablets, dstv decoder and many other prizes, aside the car as grand prize.
The “Receive N Win” promo was geared towards encouraging increased patronage of the services of the wire money transfer franchise; and is specifically targeted at customers who received their transfers in any branch or business location of Skye Bank.
Speaking on the promo exercise, the Group Head of Skye Bank Retail, Mr. Ndubisi Osakwe disclosed that winners “are customers and prospects who received money transfers in Skye Bank within the three months the promo lasted”.
Osakwe stated further that, “winners emerged by meeting set criterion – which is receiving at least one MoneyGram transfer from a Skye Bank branch – within the 90 days of the promo”, noting that, “Moneygram are our partners supporting us in business; and they reward customers”.
“This reward program commenced in January and we have been giving out gifts and today is the grand draw where we are giving out gifts”. Thanks to our partners and the exco for approving this. We have given out several gifts and cash rewards before. Kindly help spread the word, the gifts are here and they are real”, he added.

A breakdown of Prizes on offer at the grand finale include: 1st prize winner (Grand prize)- Brand new car (1 winner); 2nd prize winner – N1million cash (1 winner);3rd prize winner – N500,000 cash (1 winner); Samsung tablets (5 winners);Mobile phone (12 winners);N20,000 Gift voucher (10 winners);DSTV decoder (10 winners); GoTV decoder (13 winners).
The just-concluded promo had been on (across all its agent’s locations in Nigeria) and terminated on February 28, 2017; where customers emerged as winners for receiving money in cash at Skye Bank branch or transferred directly into the savings/current account domiciled in the Bank. The promotion has been open to both account and non-account holders and has been running since December 2016.
