In what looks like a scene from a horror hollywood flick, an Indonesian man has won an unbelievable fight to the death battle against a massive 25.6ft-long python which left him with horrific injuries.
The brave local identified as Robert Nababan was on his way home from work when he saw two pedestrians blocked from crossing a road by a giant snake.
The 37-year-old resident of the Indragiri Hulu regency of Riau decided to step in – and became locked into a bloody battle with the snake as it sunk its teeth into his arm while the pedestrians looked on in horror.
After an exhausting struggle he killed the reptile but was rushed to hospital for his wounds to be treated.
The security guard, who works on a palm oil plantation in the area, is now fighting for his life in hospital.
In his weak physical state, he briefly told reporters the story of his battle with the beast:
‘I tried to catch it. It bit my arm, and we wrestled for a while.’
Unfortunately, before Robert could go on with his story, his family kicked out the journalists who were reporting on the story from the hospital room so that Robert could get some rest.
Pictures showing body of the 25.6 foot monster strung across his village like a washing line were shared on social media. Its long body is tied between two trees for everyone, including children, to see.
He suffered deep wounds to his left arm and hand and was suffering from exhaustion because the fight went on for ‘some time’.
Robert Nababan is now recuperating in hospital.
What could be the reason for the recent spate of snakes ( especially pythons) been killed across the globe? Let me know what you think.
Because their time is up
Wow! This is bravery.
