Imo State Commissioner For Happiness Ogechi Ololo Defends Her Office, Explains Responsibilities
Newly sworn in Commissioner for Happiness and Couples’ Fulfillment Mrs Ogechi Ololo has gone on micro blogging social networking site Twitter to defend her office and explain her responsibilities following the censure expressed by Nigerians over her appointment.

In a series on tweets on her page, Mrs Ololo, who is Governor Okorocha’s blood sister commended the Governor for been innovative and creating an office that will cater for the welfare of Imo Citizens. She also explained her responsibilities as the Commissioner for happiness and used the UAE as a reference point for her office. Read her tweets below:
- The Executive Governor of Imo State; Rochas okorocha has done a good job in commissioning this new office which is a first of its kind in Nigeria. The people of great Imo State deserve Happiness and a fulfilled life. God bless Imo State
- In a time were couple divorce is at an all time high, I will use my good office to ensure couples in Imo will be fulfilled and serve as an example to the world.
She went ahead to explain her responsibilities as:
3. a. To ensure citizens of Imo state remain happy despite the economic meltdown and Biafran fiasco.
b. To ensure couples in Imo state have a reduced divorce rate and better fulfilled marriages
c. Cater to welfare of the the average Imo indigene.
She continues:
4. I am truly surprised by the outbursts of young Nigerians on his excellency; Dr Rochas Okorocha. If you don’t understand something, keep quite, read and research. Make good use of your senses;

Ololo, was the All Progressives Congress’ candidate into the House of Representatives for the Owerri Federal Constituency seat in 2015 and has served in various capacities since Okorocha became the state governor in 2011.
She had, before her new appointment, served as her brother’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Special Adviser on Domestic Matters.
